Summary/Abstract: The present article aims to present the progress of the study and application of positive psychology in theschool context. It is described how the interest of applied positive psychology in educational contexts hasemerged and how develop the research related to the models of application of the positive education.Then there are presented the concept of positive school and the characteristics of positive schoolenvironment and is discussed the focus on school satisfaction and well-being in positive school. Positiveschools support, enhance and promote positive mental health and well-being that are considered as moreimportant as academic outcomes. Assessing students’ emotions and attitudes and well-being providesuseful information that can be used in positive health strategies of promotion and intervention in childrenand youth. School-based targeted programs and interventions are more often required in many schools fortheir benefits for positive mental health, social and emotional skills, and well-being.
