Summary/Abstract: The research in this article includes the analysis of thirty consciously modified Lithuanian orthographic features in Simonas Daukantas’s History of the Lithuanian Lowlands (Istoryje Ƶemaytyszka, IƵ; 1828–1834 in Rīga, Latvia). Not all of them eliminated orthographic diversity; some were modified more than once, adding new variants to the diversity.
