Summary/Abstract: This article represents a point of view on National Defence Strategy of Romania (NDSR), adopted in 2010. This current NDSR was criticized for using the word Defence instead of Security in its title and for considering mass-media as a factor of a societal vulnerability. The main idea is that national security should be treated and assured both as an objective indicator and as a subjective personal citizen’s perception.
