Sexuality of women after gynecologic surgery

Summary/Abstract: Gynecologic surgery restores the functional anatomy of the female pelvis. However, by damage to nerves, blood vessels and anatomical structures and by causing scarring, may lead to impaired sexual function. Other factors that affect sexual functionality after gynecological operations are also: reducing the level of steroids after operation and psychosocial factors.
