Influence of arterial hypertension therapy on the women’s sexuality – venus report

Summary/Abstract: The article presents outcomes of a multicenter study of 17580 women with arterial hypertension. A lot of patients have declared sexual dysfunction: hypoactive sexual desire – 20,9%, difficulties in achieving orgasm – 37,5%, complete anorgasmia – 9,5%. It was found that the higher arterial pressure the lover is appetite for sexual activity. Sexual problems were more commonly reported by treated than untreated women. This was reversed in patients treated with sartane who were less likely to report sexual problems.
