Summary/Abstract: Appeared at a time when the two legal systems (Romanian-Germanic and Common Law) disputed the leading position in the European coding market, our Civil Code has borrowed a number of terms and regulations from the Quebec Civil Code, as well as from other sources, such as the codification of European contract law, which made the legal terminology to overlap with the traditional terminology, deforming the original meaning of legal terms, which creates a series of difficulties highlighted in this paper.
