Summary/Abstract: The wedding ritual is linked to a very distant past that goes back to the mythological phase of thought, to the original state of culture. The rite itself represents the sacral phase of the thought of ancient society, in which the mystical charge of the collective imagination predominates. In this phase, the rite translates a mythical conception of the world and, through myth, man enters a mystical reality. According to theoreticians of structuralism, all models of human behavior, regardless of the time they belong to, can be translated by the meanings and signs of language. Because man creates ready-made structures for every type of cultural phenomenon. The ratio can be reduced to a binary opposition; the intermediate phenomena are defined as mediations.
