Summary/Abstract: Nikolai Gumilyov is one of the poets who influenced deeply his contemporaries and the next generations. At the beginning of the 20th century Nikolai Gumilyov’s the greatest contribution is providing information about the continent in Russian language awareness and making fearless and strong ways to people for discovering the World by themselves. His poems written in “Africa” theme make him more known. He had a special place in poetry by this theme which was founded by himself. Poet’s plunging in the quests different images and structures has important contribution to showing up the poem “Giraffe” which will be examined in this work. Because exotic and nice places always attracted Gumilyov’s attention. In this context poet publishes his collected work “Romantic Flowers” (Romantiçeskiye Tsvetı-1908) in 1908. Nevetheless “Giraffe” becomes the most remarkable work and grows into Gumilyov’s personal card. Gumilyov took his readers a trip to legendary World in exotic Africa portrait by this poem which was penned in September 1907. Giraffe, one of the most important literary work of the poet which was garnished by exotic motives, has the feature of a disk by exotic scents, voices and the color richness. As a result of this work, we will try to underline how talented and genuine Gumilyov is in respect to the redounded extraordinary theme to Silver Age in Russian Literature.
