Individual Entrepreneurship as an Alternative for the Unemployed Aged 50 Years Old and more

Summary/Abstract: Due to the population aging and caused by it changes in the size and structure of labor supply, in public debate and activities of labor institutions a lot of attention is devoted to economic activation of people aged 50+. The main problem is to find a way to their sustainable integration into labor market, especially the unemployed and early retired. Article discusses the issues of individual entrepreneurship supporting of the unemployed aged 50+. The aim of the study is to answer two questions: what is the motivation of person aged 50+ to become an entrepreneur and what is the effectiveness of activities supporting individual entrepreneurship among the unemployed aged 50+ in Poland.
