Summary/Abstract: In the essay, in the form of scientific material are described and prepared for printing eight unpublished letters by Lazar Tomanovic (1845-1932), that the manuscript department of Matica Srpska, and sent to Novi Sad in the period between 1878 and 1901, to serbian writer Aleksandar Sandic (1836-1908), a longtime member of Matica Srpska, historian, author, cultural worker and politician, professor of serbian language in the serbian gymnasium in Novi Sad. From the letters we find out details about Tomanović intensive cooperation and contacts with Novi Sad literary and intellectual elite, and after the completion of training and his returning to Herceg Novi in 1874, and then departure to Cetinje in 1888, where he worked for important jobs in the state administration of Montenegro all by the end of professional career.
