Summary/Abstract: The paper consists of two parts. First part of the paper presents the fundamental poetical and aesthetical ideas of Laza Kostic, expressed in his principle of intercrossing. The second part analyzes the spatial transposition of the principle of intercrossing in his poems Međujavom i med snom, Spomen na Ruvarca and Santa Maria della Salute. The full realization of his poetical principle Kostic achieved in the last and most beautiful poem Santa Maria della Salute. Venetian church dedicated to the Virgin Mary is the place of intercrossing of the opposing forces: intellect, passion and emotion. Crossed forces are reconciled in a new being - poem Santa Maria della Salute.
