Summary/Abstract: Stamps as part of society’s or state’s everyday life give objective and correct information. It can be divided generally into direct and indirect. The direct one comes from the text written on the stamp, the indirect one - from the place where it has been found. In the past they received mail sealed with the stamp in question. The article studies the stamps of Adrianople’s bishop - Nikolay, found in Bul¬garia - in Preslav and Silistra and comments on the issues as to where and to whom the mail sealed with them was addressed.
