Summary/Abstract: To develop and produce the desired profits, family businesses should be attractive to employees, both to family members as well as those not related. Keeping employees with key skills, especially among managers can be done by building a positive image of the company as an employer, which can be achieved by continuously developing organizational culture. That consists of factors related to the external environment, characteristics of organization, type of organization and characteristics of employees.One of the elements of organizational culture is a safety culture. Using the available tools and methods it is possible to determine the actual state of health and safety inthe company, as well as the perception of its elements by employees. Examination of safety culture allows to identify areas requiring corrective action. Such policy is conducive to building a positive image of the company, which may be the reason for making it work for potential employees. The article shows the relationship between a high level of safety culture and the attractiveness of the family business. It also shows the benefits that a company can get as a result of repeated periodical examination of its level. Data are based on scientific publications of safety culture.
