Summary/Abstract: In this article we present a practically tested group of methods, allowing to perceive the pupil’s restlessness and anxietyss, their causes and possible means of helping the child. Interpretations of stories created by the children are presented in the article, and show how the texts correspond with the facts determined by other identifiaction methods based on the child’s anxiety. The scientific literature suggests to investigate the child’s anxiety by the methods of introspection, self-analysis, observation, testing and others. Moreover, it advises to apply such methods as: the method of psychodiagnostic colour painting „The Magical Place of Emotions“ created by T. Grabenko, T. Zinkevič-Jevstignejeva ir D. Frolovas as well as „The Test of Child’s Anxiety“, „The Analysis of Fairy-tales Created by Chilren“, which were combined with natural direct and indirect observation, and individual free conversation. The hypothesis proved that colour painting method “The Magical Place of Emotions”, supplemented by material of observation and conversation, can supply sufficient information for the teacher not only about situational, but also permanent source of anxiety. „The Test of Child Anxiety“, supplemented by the facts of free conversation lets us evaluate the ability of the child to emotionally adapt himself in vital situations and also analyse its relations with special social circumstances. While creating a fairy-tale or its end every child unconsciously inserted into the text personal experience, expressed his opinion towards the members of the family, their relationship and ability to adapt himself to life et.c. The most important method in this research system is the analysis of fairy-tale contents created by the child, which helped to perceive spiritual problems of the anxious child.
