Summary/Abstract: Summary The purpose of contemporary pre-school institutions is to develop expertise. Using the expertise of creativeness children communicate exploring visual language in those situations when it is too hard for them to express themselves by spoken words. The main form of creative expression pre-school children is colour. Studies show that children of 3–4 years old hardly name the colour and can not explain why they have chosen one or another colour. This problem has not been fully analysed in literature. The aim of this analysis is how to enrich the vocabulary of 3–4 years old children with colour names using a tale method. It has been proved that the child is able to name the colour faster while using tales named be a colour word or playing games with colours. This process allows to accelerate the development of pre-school children. The genre of a tale is acceptable for pre-school children, and this process develops the child’s socialization. The educator can use the method of educational creativeness resolving children’s problems, enriching their vocabulary or analysing the situations of their inner empathy.
