The awareness of the city dwellers in regards to city logistics problems in the context of building of sustainable urban mobility plans

Summary/Abstract: The complexity of urban logistics systems has the effect on the creation of a number of problems related to the realization of freight transport. The condition of the implementation of solutions to reduce this negative impact is the development of strategic plans which take into account the expectations of various stakeholder groups of urban freight transport. One of them, often overlooked, are the inhabitants. The aim of the paper is to introduce the research results focusing on the awareness of the inhabitants of selected cities in the context of the functioning and problems of urban freight transport and its impact on the quality of life. These studies were aimed to develop conclusions that could serve as a basis for the development of a sustainable urban mobility plan.
