Summary/Abstract: Following Buslaj’s opinion “that language reflects folk life in its entirety while being perceived so as to constitute a treasury of our erstwhile life„ it may well be said that phraseology is, in fact, a linguistic ambience with a transitional form of folk narrative as well as a type of spiritual expression with sharp stylistic features encompassing the cultural panorama of a nation, its spiritual heritage, many a side of man’s life and his life experience. The echo of its linguistic means i.e. idioms can be heard even nowadays in the current phraseology of both the Serbian and Albanian literary language. Historical roots, conceptual history, cultural-historical values of these two spatially close languages, universal human experience of their speakers, literal and cultural development of the two respective peoples, similarities and differences in mentality, and semantic motivation, have all instigated the author to analyse teaching materials (manuals, books etc.) with aim to contribute to proper acquisition of the minimal or maximal phraseological funds in addition to developing phraseological competence, discovering the underlying phraseological logic, character and nature of units delimited by a smaller or larger set of distinctions, and establishing successful communication among bearers of these two cultures. The research results entail not only achieving the highest level of quality of phraseo-didacticts in Albanian language teaching, which should have as its objective a large number of speakers, but they also include determining close ties between the afore-mentioned phraseologies. The extra-linguistic dimension of the representative material has also been demonstrated in this manner owing to the fact that it may serve as both linguistic-cultural and sociological material since it reveals civilization flows, spiritual culture of various traditions, habitus of society, models of opinion and of linguistic and cultural expressing and expressions.
