Summary/Abstract: After the Berlin Congress (1878) the Bulgarian town municipal network in Macedonia was recovered and expanded. The municipalities became the largest, legal, public organizations, connected with the church, the enlightenment, the social and the national life of Bulgarians in the Vilayets.
