Summary/Abstract: The paper examines trends in higher education in the world, changing dynamically under the influence of technological progress and compliance of these trends in the development of Bulgarian higher education.Analyzed the options for resolving the problem of the near future - classic university (based on speech) or the Internet (based on images) higher education. The analysis included historical, socio - psychological, financial, political and age parameters.There have been proposals for rethinking the relationship between government, universities and businesses so as to optimize the increasingly dominant rationality in choosing a specialty and pressure shortly after , while preserving intellectual mission of the university and the gradual upgrading of knowledge.
