Summary/Abstract: The article is an analysis of formal structures which can do medical activity. Functional evaluation of each model was based on the ground of legislative solutions, shaped primarily by the medical activity act. It presents merits and faults of different organizational models – from the budget and independent forms to commercial partnerships and private. The article has interdisciplinary form combining issues of economic, organizational and legal aspects of the functioning of healthcare units.
