Summary/Abstract: The author analyses two movie biographies of sportsmen: American Dream by Marek Skrzecz (2017) and Piotrowsky by Marcin Biegański (2017). He argues that both movies – one about a successful wrestler, the other one about an unsuccessful boxer – present an vital aspect of sports biographies as the bodily labor and the inevitable context of its market-value.
