Summary/Abstract: It is in renouncing important questions that the crisis of philosophy manifests itself. Such a great question posed by man is that concerning God. The problem of the existence of God is the immanent question of metaphysics. It is a certain religious effort that has always accompanied, almost simultaneously, the understanding of reality reaching its culminating point in the affirmation of God - the ultimate reason for this reality. It is precisely this effort of the man to define himself religiously has often stimulated the understanding of reality (fides quaerens intellectum). Metaphysics was formed and matured in the context of reality conceived as sacred. The crisis of religious instinct observed in the late fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries. following the myth of "the death of God". The modern philosophy that gave voice to rationalism and volonatrism became the factor favoring the development of this myth. By losing its intellectual character, philosophy, which was increasingly responding to the pragmatic needs of man, became ideology. In this way she began to betray herself. Myths and, among others, that of "the death of God" testify to the self-deconstruction of philosophy.
