Summary/Abstract: The paper studies special features of learning by means of games. In the focus of author’s consideration are such concepts as “didactic game”, “computer game” and “computer didactic game”. The author analyses research works on this topic to specify the role of computer didactic games as a teaching method stimulating learners’ mental activity with the assistance of modern digital technologies.
