Summary/Abstract: In 1941 difficult situation led Yugoslavia to sign Tripartite Agreement with the Third Reich. Patriarch Gavrilo Dozic couldn‟t imagine agreement with Germany by which Yugoslavia would become part of Axis powers. In his opinion he believed that freedom is the most important value of one‟s nation and it shouldn‟t be given to anybody at any price. Coup d‟etat that happened in Yugoslavia few days after the agreement between Kingdom of Yugoslavia and the Third Reich has been anticipated as a patriotic move in order to safeguard freedom. Patriarch believed the same. Unfortunately, sudden attack of Germany against Yugoslavia led the country to the civil war and millions of new victims.
