Summary/Abstract: This article aims at analysing from a quantitative point of view the use of hyperstructures in the French popular science magazine Science & Vie published throughout the year 2014. Hyperstructures, identified by Grosse et Seibold (1996) and defined by Lugrin (2000), help structuring the information in order to arrange the news discourse in a storyboard allowing the reader to “flip” through the subjects tackled like flipping through television channels. We chose to analyse the 2014 issues as the magazine’s formula was changed in May and we anticipate interesting results concerning the increase the use of hyperstructures, as well as an increase in the use of infographics.
