Summary/Abstract: Barrow burial cremation 45 from Dolozhsky pogost (cemetery) in the western part of the Leningrad Region contained a set of military equipment, dated back to 5th — early 6th centuries. It includes a three-part bits with decoration in the form of cuts on the annular cheek-pieces. Such bits are most typical for the cultures of Balt circle in Lithuania and East Prussia. Discovery of these bits in a burial in the North-West of Russia apparently reflects military contacts with the Balts and possibly advance of some Baltic military groups deep in to the forest zone of Eastern Europe.
