Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to characterize the phenomenon of “street people” through the prism of selected categories such as the homeless, beggars, victims of trafficking, vagrants and street children. The directions of assistance measures taken for street people by state-owned social policy entities as well as non-governmental organizations were also presented. The end of the article presents recommendations.
