Children as beggars figures and props

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the phenomenon of child begging in contemporary Poland,with particular emphasis on children’s social engineering techniques and beggarfigures. The determinants of the problem were characterized and its organizationwas shown. Selected figures and social engineering techniques of beggarswere presented as an example of a specific presentation of a little beggar in thestreet space. Attention was drawn to the need for a continuous diagnosis of thephenomenon of begging with the participation of children in order to undertakeappropriate assistance activities of a social and legal nature.
