The Role of Recovery Organisations in the Creation of a Circular Economy

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to identify the role of recovery organizations in the creation of a circular economy. The article discusses the concept of circular economy, its principles and main activities. EU and national documents containing the basics of the circular economy were indicated. Low regulations and the scope of activity of the recovery organization in Poland were discussed. In the last part of the paper, the effects of these activities were assessed in two main areas of activity of the researched organizations: waste recovery and recycling and environmental education of the society.
