Summary/Abstract: The article presents the creation, the structure and the evolution in the development of the library collections of Lyuben Karavelov Regional Library – Ruse since the creation of the library until now. The place of the legal deposit in the system of the library collections is highlighted with a particular attention to the possibility of this collection to realize the memorial function of the library.
