The game of political, civic and media authorities in the communist discourse

Summary/Abstract: Our paper deals with the way the three instances (political, civil and mediating instances) involved in the process of political communication work together in the communist discourse. The relationship established between them is of reciprocal dependence. The political instance needs a civic instance to confirm its right to govern, the civic instance needs a political instance to establish the rules that make the society work, and both of them are connected by a mediating instance, which opens a communication channel between them. If in the democratic systems the three instances have an equal value, in the communist regime the civic and the mediating instance are subordinated to the political instance, which becomes manipulative and oppressive.
