Political speech and the language of wood

Summary/Abstract: Approaching the newspeak, just like in Orwell`s or more recently in Françoise Thom`s vision, in political discourses is very challenging and opens great perspectives on discourse analysis. Our interest goes in seeing whether political discourses in the new context of democracy use the old lexical structures of the communist language. We are also question how they succeed in abandoning these rigid, stereotyped linguistic forms in order to build a reliable image of the political power.
