Process approach in process oriented organizations

Summary/Abstract: The article presents some aspects of process management in organizations. The article discusses the results of studies conducted in organizations located in the Lubelskie Voivodeship whose quality management system complies with the requirements of ISO 9001. The aim of research was to assess the maturity in the field of process approach in the surveyed companies. The results show that the process approach − defined by the ISO 10014 − was rated the weakest of eight indicators showing the level of compliance with the requirements enshrined in the principles of quality management. At the same time a process approach was strongly (0.56) correlated with the assessment of the impact of their quality management systems in the economic performance.
