Summary/Abstract: The interrogative-informative dialogue in the televisual cultural debate challenges a special type of discursive activity: the confidence, through which a discourse of revealing the self in interaction is built. Using the advan-tages of the complete interrogation, the show’s host expresses himself / herself as a perfect master of the debate, while by using the incomplete interrogation the host ”wipes himself / herself” in front of the guest‘s pesonality; in this context the guest, through the offered spoken material, takes the dominant position on the vertical axis of interpersonal relation. The existence of a low number of complete questions guides us to the conclusion that the cultural debate, through the nature of the mediatic type represented, through the thematic content and the guests’ personality is rather built through incomplete questions than complete questions.
