Methods of the industrial enterprises sustainable business assessment

Summary/Abstract: In the paper chosen methods of the analysis of business sustainability have been presented. Assesment to what extend industrial activity is sustainable is difficult to perform because of multilevel relations and problems with measurement of sustainability. Current research devoted to sustainable business measurement proposes two approaches: analytical, using set of indexes and synthetic, based on aggregate metrics. Relatively new synthetic metrics: sustainable value, proposed by Figge, can be used to assess business activity in the framework of sustainable development. The goal of the paper is to critically assess both approaches.
