Summary/Abstract: The paper intends to describe of collaboration between Carol II and Armand Călinescu not only from a descriptive perspective, but more like from an analytic point of view, taking into account the arguments that determined the beginning and the development of this relationship. The reason for studying this topic is the importance of these two personalities in the Romanian history; it is true that the period of their close collaboration was very short (from 1938 to 1939), but those two years were marked by essential events, that influenced the future evolution of Romania.
