Summary/Abstract: This study intends to investigate how the translations of the tragedies by Alfieri and by Voltaire and of the libretto Norma by Felice Romani had a strong relation with the political ideas against despotism of 1848 Romanian writers like Heliade Rãdulescu and Constantin Aristia.
