Social services in local government’s social policy

Summary/Abstract: The article describes social services provided by social assistance employees to those in crisis. Social services help to minimise and even solve many problems, at the same time ensuring good conditions for people and families and helping them function independently in a local community. The author indicates that a social service in the form of social work is necessary for people and families to overcome difficult situations. A particularly important issue is defining social services in the development of local government.
