Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to study the foundations of Internet humor folklore as a means of implementing its communicative potential. Methodology. The methodology of the study is to apply the general principle of scientific objectivity, analytical, cultural, structural and semantic methods in the researching of the humor based on the works of Internet folklore. Due to it we can realize their communicative potential. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty of this work is to determine the role of humorous comic-component as a fundamental principle of the creation of the Internet folklore texts and realization of their potential as communicative messages that contain value judgments and actual socially significant information. Conclusions. It was proved the fact that the majority of Internet folklore texts are based on the humorous comic-component corresponding to the principles of network communication - anonymity carnival, game character. The culture of laughter, with its tradition of functioning in different historical periods and mediating the dominant social and cultural factors, has always belonged to the « privately» context, as the spokesman of the archaic layers of the human psyche and consciousness. The culture of laughter is always socially oriented, determined by the specific socio-cultural environment, and posits his/her values and ideals whereas overcoming the destructive social, differences and contradictions of realities. Internet folklore texts, appeared in the process of creative and communicative activity, have social orientation and define messages in comic forms, presenting the information for communicators, which contains value judgments about the ugly social reality, overcoming the contradictions to harmonize life and implementation of best social ideals.
