/ Feminization and masculinization of labour markets in the EU countries vs. cohesion policy

Summary/Abstract: The article examines the issue of gender inequality in the labour markets in European countries. The study highlights selected aspects of the labour market. Their selection, though subjective, was motivated by their meaning and impact on the economic development. Statistical data analysis (desk research) complemeted with cartographic methods made possible to show the spatial differentiation of gender inequality in the labour markets in the EU-28. The EU cohesion policy, including preventing social exclusion and increasing the access and participation of women in the labour market is to contribute to reduce these adverse effects.
