Summary/Abstract: World Youth Days deserve the title of the great religious event. During it in one place young people from all over the world spend their time praying and meetings with the pope. Does their tourist behavior differ from the behavior of other tourists, and if so, in what issues? The article attempts to answer this question based on the information coming from the research into tourist traffic in Cracow. Using the Pearson chi-square test and Mann-Whitney U test, there were specified the statistically significant differences of the behavior of two groups of visitors of the city in 2016 – the participants of WYD and other tourists. The obtained results allow to conclude, inter alia, that the participants of WYD more often than other tourists were searching the Internet and social media for information, travelling in groups, using cheaper means of transport and places of accommodation, staying longer in the destination, but unfortunately they were more rarely doing sightseeing of local and surrounding attractions.
