Summary/Abstract: This contribution is devoted to two selected issues from the area of „Police law“. Specifically, I deal with the influence of the European Court of Human Rights on some of the privileges of members of the Police of the Czech Republic. It is an authorization to use a weapon and powers to restrict freedom of movement of persons through the attachment to a suitable object in accordance with the relevant provisions of Act no. 273/2008 Coll., On the Police of the Czech Republic, as amended.
