Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the results of the empirical researches of public opinion in Russia, Byelorussia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan about the creation of the new state community („Slavic Alliance"), that is the creation of the „common economic area". The analysis of the acquired results reveals a certain feeling of self-sufficiency among the inhabitants of Russia who were not ready for new integrations, but also the existence of the dilemma with whom to integrate. Among the inhabitants of Byelorussia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan three variants were obtained: the first — with Russia, the second — with the European Union, and the third option advocates non-integrated behaviour, that is maintenance of state independence.
