Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses an alternative approach to economics. Subsequently, the linkages and threats posed by the resource-intensive economy in the aspect of environmental protection have been discussed. The aim of the study is to draw attention to the transformation of the linear economy towards a closed-loop economy.
