Summary/Abstract: The National Library of the Moldavian Republic (BNRM) holds in its collections two old books which are representative for the early European printing. The first book, The Aristotelian categories commented by Simplicius, printed in Venice, highlights the importance of Aristotle’s fundamental works for the evolution of printing. The second book, Acciaioli, Donati. In Aris-totelis Libros Octo Politicorum Commentarii, Nunc primum in Lucem editi, also printed in Venice, contains the political commentaries in Aristotle’s work. The existence of these two books in the BNRM collection places the library among the European libraries holding great heritage values.
