Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the challenges and developments in the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP). Established in2004, the ENP has opened some opportunities for beneficiary countries of this policy. The implementation of the EuropeanNeighbourhood Policy (ENP) vis-à-vis the Southern and Eastern partners, has been the subject of scrutiny in the internationalarena. Recent events in North Africa are forcing a redefinition of priorities in this region and show the new challenges of the ENP.The High Representative’s communication from 25.05.2011 opens new perspectives, and more effectiveness of the ENP is necessary.
