Summary/Abstract: The senator of Târgu Mureş, Octavian Tăslăuanu, promoted the idea of pan-European integration for the first time in the Parliament of Romania in 1926. In 1930, King Carol II, the Maniu government and the Romanian Parliament adopted official documents, through which they expressed firmly, their political support for the Briand Project of European Union.
