Setting by the Court of a Time Limit to Accept a Succession

Summary/Abstract: In the article a review is made of the relevant case-law concerning the issues with regard to the setting by the court of a time limit, in which the heir to announce whether he or she accepts or not an open succession. The courts are challenged to answer different questions such as: who is entitled to start the procedure, how the heir may be summoned and in what manner is he or she to make their will, what are the effects in cases of invalidity of their statements, and what fact should be recorded in cases that he or she keeps silence, etc.
