Summary/Abstract: The crisis of European civilization manifests itself in the crisis of humanity, crisis of conscience as well as in the legitimate devaluation of life. Apart from it, many people compromise Christianity as they fail to follow moral principles in everyday life. It is, therefore, most important to undertake a discussion on the essential values which constitute the foundations on which the edifice of the structure of society and its cultural background is being erected. The shaping of mature human and Christian attitudes appears to be nowadays a great challenge. To cope with this process, it is necessary to visualize the notion of Christian pedagogy, to emphasize the fundamental role of conscience in education, as well as to indicate the threat hidden in manipulation. The above issues, presented, of course, in a concise form, constitute the essence of this article.
