Summary/Abstract: Based on the familiar theoretical and methodological postulates upon nodal regions, in this paper is analyzed a possibility to ground spatial and functional organization of Serbia on the development of functional and urban regions. It is suggested to treat nodal region as an instrument of connecting and integrating urban centers into the coherent networks.
